What the centre does

IIEC fosters research, innovation and entrepreneurship through community, workshops and events. It organises intra-university competitions to find students' ideas and project solutions, and supports them with guidance in the Innovation Incubator Lab, where they get hands-on experience from the idea to a prototype.

The centre also helps students obtain local patents for innovative products, and encourages them to build a business model around their ideas.

Competitions and events

• Intra-University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (2026 edition held in August).
• National Innovation Competition (Technocrats), held at IUBAT in 2024.
• Workshops such as “From Startup to Global Impact” and the annual Career Festival.

Agreements

IIEC organises signing ceremonies with industry, for example with GEN Bangladesh. See partnerships.
