What the fees consist of

Application fee

Tk 500, paid when applying by bKash or Rocket, or at the Admission Office (Ground Floor, Room 101).

Admission fee

Paid once, when a student enrols. Merit and need-based waivers apply to tuition, not to this fee.

Tuition

Charged per credit for the courses taken each semester. The scholarship percentage is deducted from tuition.

Semester charges

A single charge each semester for laboratories, library, student activities and examinations.

Already included

• Free university buses on routes across Dhaka (see transport).
• Group health insurance covering hospitalisation up to Tk 100,000 a year for every registered student.
• Free, confidential counselling at the Counselling and Guidance Centre.

Scholarships and waivers

Merit waivers run up to 100% of tuition at admission, a 50% waiver is available for a semester with a 4.00 CGPA, and women receive an additional 15%. Read the full scholarship tables.

Add, drop and refunds

A course dropped within the first 15 days of the semester is refunded in full. From day 16 to day 30, with the instructor's permission, 50% of tuition is charged.

Paying in instalments

A student who cannot pay in full after scholarships may defer part of the payment under set terms. Ask the Registrar's Office at registrar@iubat.edu.
